Hello Terence,

what SSAG does is to provide Singapore students with advice on several aspects of student life in Germany. From enquiries about where to learn German before coming, to the conditions in each city that our members know about, to how to look for accommodation for the short term or long term. There are many things here that are different from studying in Singapore, and the SSAG tries to ease the transition and help Singapore students become more independent in the long run. Twice a year we also hold meetings in various cities across Germany to provide Singaporeans with a taste of home, speaking Singlish, making friends or catching up, playing dai dee, and singing Chinese songs. We like to think this makes life easier for them and reminds them they are not alone here, far away from home.

@icedwater Can you shed light on what kind of activities does SSAG run over in Germany? I am supposing these activities are run to engage the registered Singapore students, this is my first time coming across a students association such as SSAG.

I believe you misread it. I'm saying it's unfortunate, since you leave yourself open to accusations of being a glory-hunter as well. Having worked with you before for sleague.com, would I malign you? Don't get worked up for nothing. Good that you explain yourself here. I guess I should have replaced "seems" with "appears".

Wow? Seriously? I do not have the choice to have whatever I want as my Facebook profile picture? I have watched the S.League longer than I have been watching AC Milan play. So please save your comments for elsewhere. Thank you.

i'm a singaporean chinese, but obvioulsy i support Singapore 100%. I love the way the Singapore team is made up of different races, and everyone plays for each other. Haris is my favorite player and I believe he is the future of our local soccer. Looking at the young lads in YOG and Lion City Cup, there is really hope. Back to the WC2014, I feel everyone should lower their expectations. BOth China and Iraq have been to the WC before, whilst Jordan are a good team. Singapore has the least chance, so maybe we should lower our expectations and keep the pressure off the players. History tells us that the SIngapore always play their best when they are under-rated. Lets hope they are underestimated by the other 3 teams, and will be surprise them all
